2006 BEACH SOCCER WORLD CUP KICKS OFF IN RIO DE JANEIRO
On Nov. 3, the first three matches of this year´s World Cup took place in Copacabana beach in Rio. Brazil defeated Poland 9-2, Japan beat the U.S 8-4, Canada defeated Iran in a penalty shootout and France (last year's champion) beat Spain by 3-2.There are sixteen teams taking part that are divided into four groups, these are:
Group A : Brazil, Poland, USA, Japan.
Group B : Spain , France, Canada, Iran.
Group C : Solomon Islands, Cameroon, Portugal, Uruguay
Group D : Italy, Argentina, Nigeria, Bahrain
One of the captivating dancers who kept the crowds entertained during the intervals of every game.
